Baby Next Door

You dont have student loans yet,

hell, you cant even do arithmetic,

You dont have to deal with drivers on the freeway,

acting like an absolute dick.

No, you just sit and cry there

probably because you need a diaper change,

meanwhile, I’m doing tons of paperwork,

and making some actual use of my brain.

They say it takes a village to raise to you,

well, that I wont deny,

but in the interest of my sanity at this moment,

cant you spare a poor, sleepless guy?

Why cry, baby next door?

it confounds me, cant you see?

When I’m the one with a splitting headache,

early in the morning at three.

For some inexplicable reason, I shift into a “Dave Chappelle” drawl every time I recite this.
